The Last Month of the Year

Ahhh, another year has swept on by.
It was a good one in many ways. Lots of life lessons, some sadness and a lot of fun.  That is probably true for you as well...

If you think you might of missed some
of the newsletters, worry not. I simply haven't sent any since July.
I did mention that they would be infrequent, not always regular, right?

The holiday season has begun,
it started with Halloween, one of my most favorite celebrations. My partner Tom and I went to a party dressed as an "Abstract Painting Diptych". We won the coveted "funniest costume" award.

(You, being an art lover of course know that a diptych is two paintings that are side by side, and actually are one image. The term originates from early paintings that were done on hinged wooden panels that could be opened and closed like a book.)

Here are a few images of new work on my website. If you click on the pictures, the info/story page for them will come up.

There are other subjects besides cats,
although cats seem to be a lifelong theme for me. Look for the other new ones in the "Paintings" section, under "Available Paintings", and also in the "Available 8 x 10" Studies" section.

What's the difference? The studies are small, quickly done paintings that I do for warm up exercises, or to practice painting from life, finished within an hour or a little bit more. I'm offering these for $100 each.   The other paintings are pieces that I put a lot more time into, they often evolve over time, whether they are larger or smaller. Their prices reflect the time I've put into them, although I try to keep them as low as I feel comfortable with.

I hope you enjoy looking at them,
and maybe even see your way to purchasing one at some point.

My other half, Tom Reno, now has a
website, showing his beautiful new
abstract paintings - very different from
my work, but you may enjoy it, or know someone else who would like to see it. www.Tom Scott Reno.com.

That's all for now,
back to work, lots of love,
see you in a while! ~ Paula
