I once brought home a dog that had been advertised as "Alert dog, free to a good home." And she was, doggone it, awfully alert. She and I lived together for almost 15 years. She looked somewhat like this one, with "perfectly triangular ears" as someone once noted, but this one has a lovely long tail. Is she looking at the Cat? Or considering a new direction? I love dogs, and even once drove 200 miles to attend a dog training class with a woman who's training methods I loved, even though I didn't have a dog in the family at the time. No dog yet, maybe someday. I'm like a grandmother, I love other people's dogs. |
